Creeks Track & Field was established in Spring 2014 to meet the demand of offering a recreational track & field club in the St Johns County area. Over 100 youths participated in track events such as 100m, 200m, 400m and 100m hurdles.
In Spring of 2015, mid distance events such as the 800m and 1600m were introduced along with the field events long jump, high jump, shot put and discus.
With continued growth, in 2018 Creeks Track introduced its Mini Program to meet the unique needs for Kindergarten and 1st Grade athletes. 2018 was also the year we introduced a focused pole-vaulting training program through the addition of Coach Jason Dean of The Florida Pole Vault Factory. In 2018 our enrollment rose to 250+ athletes.
Due to the affordability and flexibility of our program, in Spring of 2022, 2023 and 2024, enrollment has expanded to 300+ athletes each spring. Creeks Track had begun offering off season training camps to meet the off season demands of our track and field athletes.
Creeks Track holds inter-squad tracks meets on Sunday mornings and the athletes get a chance to compete and challenge themselves within their age groups. In 2024 we have added to our schedule track meets that include outside local track clubs to challenge those athletes who desire the expanded competition.
Marty McEachean is the Creeks Track & Field head coach.
